We made the trek out to Utah this past August. We thought seriously about flying, then decided it would be WAY cheaper to drive. We didn't want to drive our little pontiac out there cause we'd be SO squished and uncomfortable ... so we decided to buy one of these.
Uh huh. A mini van. It's official. I'm 30. I have two kids. And I drive a VAN.
The van was awesome though. It made for a great trip. My life has seriously changed for the better because of that stinkin' van.
The kids slept great in it and the DVD player kept them happy when they were awake.
Wesley drivin' the Mom Van.
Happy girl .. almost to Grandma and Po-Po's House!
Zach playing with his trains.
Wes took this picture while he was driving. He didn't even look at the screen - just pointed in the general direction that I was in. Didn't turn out that bad.
We had a great time in Paradise. We got to hang out with Wesley's family (mom, dad, siblings, sister-in-laws, and cousins live in Cache Valley) and Mallory and Zachary were on cousin overload the whole time. They LOVED it!
This is at the Aggie's Creamery. HUGE scoop of ice cream.
We went to the Logan County Fair while we were out there - the above picture is one of my favorites of Zach. It makes me laugh.
Here's Taunt and Mallory in the wheel wells of this HUGE tractor. Zachary was in tractor heaven. He didn't want to leave this area of the fair for anything. It was so cute.
Grandma and Po-Po gave Zachary an early birthday present while we were there.
He has played with this truck almost every single day since. He LOVES it. It makes all kinds of sounds and it shakes and moves forward and backwards.
We also took some family pictures while we were visiting. We grouped together into little families for these ones.
And this one is everyone in one big group. I LOVE how big our family has gotten over the years. It's still growing too. We have a new neice that was just born on September 27th (Mallie) and we have another neice or nephew due early next year! So wonderful!
Here's Zach enjoying time out in the backyard.
Like Father, Like Son.
I took this picture of Wesley on the Trampoline 2 years ago when I was pregnant with Zach.
We visited the Logan Temple one day. It was so stinkin' hot that day, but the kids were so good and let us take a bunch of pictures of them.
Wes took this one of Zach - I LOVE those blue eyes.
Wes has crazy eyes in this picture, but I love it. We don't have a lot of pictures of just the two of us.
It was a wonderful trip - too short - but wonderful. We also visited our friends, the Lasher Family, that live up in Idaho. I feel like a loser for not taking a single picture while we were there. I guess we were having too much fun.
I hate that we live so far away from our Utah family. Can't wait to see them again!
I can't wait to see you, too! Hopefully soon! Give the kids hugs for me!
ReplyDeleteWhat a very fun trip to Utah. Having family in Utah is having a place to sleep when you visit for free.
