Yesterday (Tuesday) was really busy. I had New Beginnings for Young Women's in the evening, so my whole day was filled with going to the church, setting up, getting food and the last bits of the program (or any changes) typed up and figured out, and then going back to the church early to get everything ready. Everything turned out great and it was a successful event, but it just took up my whole day ... and trying to do all that with 4 kids didn't leave any extra time for blogging.
Bella is ONE smart cookie. I love listening to her talk. We get to have a lot of one on one time once Mallory goes to school and it's fun playing with her. (Grayson is usually asleep and Zach likes to play trains in his room.) We went into Zach's room to see what he was up to and Bella started playing with the sliding door to Zach's closet. The door swings free from the track because it isn't attached to anything on the floor. Bella started pulling at it and then she looked at me and said, "Why is this door not stable?" WHAT? Did you really just say stable? I started laughing and asked, "Where did you learn that word? Do you know what it means?" Then she said, "Stable is when it doesn't wiggle. This door wiggles. Why isn't it stable?" She is definitely going to go places in her life. She is way too smart for her age.
Also, monday night, we stopped playing "Musical Beds" and left Grayson's pack n' play in my closet. Zach sleeps much better in his room and then Bella and Mallory are doing great in their beds, so we decided to try and keep Grayson in our room. He went to bed at 6:30p and slept till 5. I gave him a bottle and he went right back to sleep till 7. Last night, Wesley had to put all the kids to bed while I was at the church and he got Grayson to sleep around 7 or 7:30 and then Grayson slept ALL night until 8:15 this morning! Can't complain one bit. He's a great little sleeper and a sweet, happy baby.
Yesterday, Holly and Frank called to check and see how everything was going. It was SO adorable to see Bella's face light up as she talked to her daddy. There is something so special about a daddy and his little girl. I thought she would be sad after she talked to them, missing them and everything, but she was totally fine. It's been really nice that every once and a while she'll say, "I'm so glad I get to be here at your house!" We're so glad she is here too!
What a fun update ;.)
ReplyDelete7:30 p.m sounds like a better time for Garyson to go to sleep ;.)
You are wonderful and a great example to your children (4).
love you,
xoxo
