Christmas Newsletter - 2013

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of our Family and Friends!

We finally sent out actual Christmas cards this year!  It's been about 4 years since we've done that.  If you didn't receive a card in the mail, I apologize.  Costco gave me more envelopes than cards and I have a bunch of envelopes that are addressed .. but I have no pictures to go in them. Hopefully this letter will make up for those we've missed.

Here's a little bit of what we have been up to this year ...

The end of last year was a bit busy for Wesley.  He took the Professional Engineering Exam the week that I was due with Avery.  He interviewed with a new Civil Engineering Firm the same DAY that Avery was born .. and he started working at his new job a few weeks after that.  Stressed much?  On Christmas Eve last year, he found out that he had passed the PE exam!!  He is officially Wesley Cullumber, PE. and we are SO proud of him.  He is working at a engineering company called TRC Solutions and he is enjoying the people he works with, all the things he is learning and responsibilities he is given.  Wesley enjoys working with the 14/15 year old boys at church.  He has a large group of about 15 boys, so it keeps him pretty busy.  In all Wesley's spare time, he remodels our home!  We have finished a lot of projects this year .. but that is for another post.

Avery Hope joined our family in November of last year.  She is a joy to have around and has definitely kept me busy this year.  I feel very blessed to be able to stay at home with these kids.  I love watching them learn and grown.  I am still doing photography whenever I can.  My photo blog address is stefaniecphotography.blogspot.com if you wanna check it out.  My spare time is spent at Target and In n Out Burger with the kids.  I am just livin' the dream.

Mallory just turned 7 at the end of November and is in First Grade.  She has lost 10 teeth .. yup .. 10!  Crazy?!  She is on her way to being a great reader.  She is still in love with horses, but also loves dogs and cats.  She made a deal with us this past year and we have decided to finally give in and get her a cat .. when she turns 16 .. and only if she's been really, really good.  She thinks it's a great plan.  She turned into quite the swimmer this past summer.  She now dives into the deep end and retrieves diving sticks.  Last year she wouldn't even put her face in the water .. so I'd say we've come a long way.

Our Zachary turned 4 in September and just seemed to grow up into a big kid this year.  He likes all the bigger boy toys .. legos, anything avengers, starwars, etc.  He loves guns, makes anything he is holding INTO a gun, and is constantly "shooting" everything and everyone.  He started pre-school in August and goes two days a week.  He is learning so much and is just growing up so fast.  He LOVES being a big brother to Avery.  That poor girl has had to become pretty tough in order to deal with all Zach's "love".  He is pretty much always bugging her, hugging her, trying to be right next to her, kissing her face, etc.  She deals with it very well.

Our little Avery Girl turned One on November 1st.  She is such a fun addition to our family.  She has been walking for months now and is into EVERYTHING.  She climbs on top of the dining room table, she gets into all drawers and cupboards, she pulls every article of clothing out of our clothes drawers or any nicely folded clothes out of the hamper.  I really can't even keep up with her.  She is a chatter box, she is stubborn and feisty.  She is bound and determined to ALWAYS get her way.  Sounds pretty angelic, huh?  She really is a lot of fun though and our family would not be the same without her.

We wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year!!
