Bonk

I have said it once and I'll say it again ..

Zach is ALL boy.

He is ALWAYS jumping off of things, running, screaming .. and just busy.

Yesterday, while I was making dinner, I let Zach play in the bag of flour that I have.  Do you ever let your kids do that?  My mom always let us play with flour.  It is so fun ... messy .. but fun.

Anyways, he had flour ALL over him.  He decided he needed a snack and went running over to the pantry and with all the flour all over his feet, he slipped and slammed his head against the corner of the doorway and split his head right open.

I had to cut his hair and then shave the area around the cut.

Bandaged him up .. and you've got one happy boy.

(sorry for the bad pictures .. camera phone only)

Two days ago, he was running out in the front yard and fell right on his face.

He's a pretty banged up kid right now.

Crazy. Loud. Busy. BOY.

On Vacation

I  have been on vacation for the last 2 months.

No, I didn't go anywhere.

Just a vacation from my blog.

Did you miss me?

I missed you too .. but not bad enough that it made me want to blog.  Sorry.

I have a lot to catch up on.  Mallory's Birthday, Thanksgiving, the whole month of December, Christmas, my little brother's wedding, and New Years.  I'm not going to blog about that today.  I probably won't get to it next week either, but for now ...

you can take a look at Zach and Me.

We get to hang out a lot these days while Mallory is in school.

We have a lot of fun together.

He is my favorite little guy.

He keeps me on my toes.  He gets into EVERYTHING that he shouldn't, but he's cute.  So .. that makes up for all the mischief.

This morning, it was a little too quiet in the house and I asked him what he was doing.   He said, "Drawing!"  I asked, "What are you drawing on?"  then he said, "WALLS!".  nice.

He's totally into giving big hugs and smooches.  That kid kisses my face off from the minute I wake up until I throw him in his bead at night.  He is a kissing machine.  I love it.

That's my life right now .. and I LOVE it.

10 Years

Wesley and I celebrated our 10th anniversary on November 10th.

10 years?  What?

Where did the time go?

My mom and dad came up to watch the kids and Wesley and I took off to Tahoe for the weekend.  We left Friday morning and went up to Apple Hill.  We saw all the different orchards and farms they  have up there, we bought an apple pie, and then headed to Tahoe.

Once we got to our room, we dug into the apple pie.  It was so yummy.

We stayed at the Ridge Tahoe.  It is just a few minutes away from Heavenly Village and it was beautiful.

On Saturday morning we went to a timeshare presentation at the Ridge.  We didn't buy one .. even though it was pretty tempting .. and they gave us $125 bucks to use at the resort!  Hello!  We went out to dinner Saturday night and then Sunday morning I got a facial at the Day Spa on site.  We also bought a bunch of stuff at the market place .. all for free!  Can't beat free.

On Saturday afternoon we went down to Heavenly Village for a look around and some window shopping.

Then we headed to the beach.  It was FREEZING.  We stayed for 5 minutes and headed back to the warm car.

On our way back to the hotel, we found a nature trail and decided to go for a walk.  (even though it was SOO Stinkin' Cold outside) It was wonderful to just walk and talk and hang out.  The scenery was beautiful too.

The trail led us back to the beach.  We watched the sun set and then we walked back.

It was a wonderful trip.  One that I would LOVE to repeat EVERY weekend.

I can't believe how blessed I am.

10 years ago I made the best decision of my life.

I married my best friend.

I love you Wesley.

Apple Hill

We headed up to "Apple Hill" last Saturday Morning with our friends, the Christensen's.

There are over 40 different apple orchards/farms that you can visit.  They all have different apple things to buy: apple cider, apple pies, apple fritters .. and of course, just plan ol' apples.

We parked in the middle of an orchard at the first farm and when we got out, Wesley started lifting Mallory into the trees to pick apples.  They were delicious.

Apple Fritter?  Yes please!

Feeding the trout.

Lookin' at the horses.

Lil' Sebastian.

Ashley may or may not be really mad that I posted this picture of her.

Mallory was sick the morning we were getting ready to leave.  She was quite the trooper as we carted her around to each farm.  I love these kids.  They make me smile every single day.

Braden and Zach.  They are naughty when they are together.  They are going to give us a run for our money in the years to come.

Mallory's Balloon Animal.  It's a dog .. with a leash.  Pretty awesome.  Even awesomer?  It was only a buck.  Sweet!

Happy Fall!
